HIRING OF SAMAJ SADANS
Briefly, salient features for booking of Samaj Sadans are as under:
| i) | For making the bookings, the hirers are requested to purchase the Brochure on Booking of Samaj Sadans from the Booking Centre of HQ office that contains the Application Form. The intending parties may download the application form under heading ‘Booking guidelines’ and other instructions from the website of GKK. |
| (ii) | Payment for hiring charges and for security deposit is to be made separately through Demand Draft/Pay Order drawn in favour of Grih Kalyan Kendra payable at Delhi. |
| iii) | In the case of Central Government employees, documents such as copy of CGHS card containing the name of the dependant, copy of pay slip etc, are required to be produced at the time of booking to avail the concession available to Central Government employees. |
| (iv) | Booking of Samaj Sadans is subject to observing and adhering to the general instructions provided in the Brochure and violation of these instructions entails forfeiture of security deposit in part or in full depending on the nature of violation. |
| (v) | Security deposit is refunded to the hirer on his application made to the GKK as per procedure laid down in the Brochure. |
| (vi) | The GKK Board has fixed rates for hiring of the Samaj Sadans. These rates for hiring charges and security deposit for different Samaj Sadans are different depending upon the space and other facilities available there. These rates are also different for the Central Government employees, State Government employees and private parties. The GKK Board reserves the right to revise these rates and rate applicable on the day of the function shall be charged from the hirers. |
| (vii) | Time limit for booking of Samaj Sadans for all types of functions is different for Central Government employees; retire Central Government employees and private parties. Central Government employees can book the Samaj Sadan at any time before the date of function without any time limit, Retired Government employees, up to six months in advance before the date of function and private parties, up to three months in advance before the date of the function. |
| (viii) | The hirers are expected to observe the specific timings laid down for taking possession and vacation of the Samaj Sadan (for holding functions) and violation of the same entails penalty of forfeiture of security deposit in part or in full. |
| (ix) | Booking of Samaj Sadan is on “first come first served basis” and subject to availability of space in that Samaj Sadan. The GKK reserves the right to cancel the booking subject to public exigency and other overriding circumstances by giving an advance notice. Charges for booking of Samaj Sadans in Delhi and outside w.e.f.1.8.2009 are available in Website under the heading ‘ Booking guidelines’. |
